Polaroid Goes TV Polaroid TLA 01911C 19 in. LCD TV

Purchased this set as a replacement for a model I had in the kitchen that was not HD compliant and had a horrible contrast ratio and narrow viewing angle.

This is a nice unit for the money, having a host of inputs, the requisite flat-panel styling and the necessary tuners to handle all the existing analog and digital stations.

Unit supports HDMI as well as VGA computer connections although I’ve tested neither. Unit will eventually be connected to satellite HD, but is currently using roof antenna to acquire OTA broadcasts. This unit cost me a few dollars more than the it replaced, but it’s display is 19″ widescreen versus the 15 inch 4:3 format. There are some smaller cheaper HD panels, but I opted to spend the extra fifty bucks or so to get more screen real estate.

Looks like a great LCD HDTV for a great price. ILO 3200 32 in. LCD TV

My may not be for everyone, as I bought this mostly for gaming with the Xbox 360. I exchanged my original ILO 2600 for this because I just wanted a bigger screen. (Incidentally, the 26″ was just as nice). Great picture; not the sharpest LCD picture, but I like the color, contrast, and refresh rate which shows no ghosting that I can see.

A Very Basic but Solid First HDTV Polaroid TLA 01511C 15 in. HDTV LCD TV

I decided, after years of hemming and hawing, to purchase my first HD television. I had researched the subject, constantly following up new leads and learning as much as I could (Epinions was a Godsend in this regard).

I live in a very small apartment so space is at a premium and I am on a rather small income too, so the television would have to be both small and affordable.

After filing my income tax return for this year, I started searching for a television that would fit in my budget and home requirements: I couldn’t spend more than $275 and I had decided I wanted a LCD television since it would take up significantly less space than a similar-sized CRT model.

Worked great, then….. ILO 3200 32 in. LCD TV

I purchased this unit at Wal-Mart some 80 days ago and it provided an excellent picture and functionality, that is until five days ago. I was going to watch a DVD and tried to access the S-video input and was unable to get to the setup screen with either the remote or via the manual buttons on the top of the set. I accessed Wal-Mart’s site and found contact info for ILO’s tech/warranty support, it was a telephone number with a guy’s name and his extension as well as his e-mail address. This did not inspire me to expect a quality response (more on this later).

A nice little television with one serious shortcoming Polaroid TLA 01511C 15 in. HDTV LCD TV

We wanted a small HDTV for the kitchen in wide screen format and this one seemed perfect. It is slim and lightweight and we liked the color. Set up was easy. We just attached the lead from our over the air antenna and let it scan for available channels. Soon we had almost 30 analog and digital channels to watch. The picture quality on the high definition channels was quite good. We did notice ghosting on some analog channels but this was eliminated by slightly reducing the sharpness setting. The set also allows adjustments for contrast, brightness, etc.

Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Polaroid 4641-TLXB TV Best Value in HD

I have owned this 46″ 1080p LCD unit for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it. I am so impressed with the quality of this set that I had to write a opposing the other one for this unit. But, to make it clear, I have not had to deal with customer support as I have had a wonderful experience with what I believe to be the choice on the market. In any case, the vast majority of all consumer-electronics problems are either due to: immediate burn-out (often shipping-related); end-user mishandling/abuse; or improper environment, hookup, or configuration.

The documentation: the “quick-start guide” and “user’s guide” for this device are great and include very easy-to-read instructions: both basic and in-depth to satisfy just about everyone. Plus, the guide is specifically made for this model, not a range of models with a range of features leaving you guessing what your unit does and does not have. The only exception is that the manual (and the remote) suggest that the unit has PIP, which mine does not. (There is a note somewhere confirming that it does not).
