Solid LCD TV for me ILO 3200 32 in. LCD TV

Excellent picture. Better than at least 80% of the LCD pictures I compared it to. Very bright. Very consistent. The only negative I might note is that the deepest blacks tend to be flat. But I’m ok with that because of the brightness, rich color, and viewing angles it allows. There is no glossy screen protector so reflection is not an issue. It looks just as good in a well-lit room as it does in the dark.

Fantastic picture but you pay a premium Sharp Aquos LC 37D4U 37 in. LCD TV

My wife and I bought this Aquos on Memorial Day weekend from Buy for $1999. We really couldn’t fit anything larger on our wall than a 40″ TV. We went to the TV stores and examined the , LG, Samsung and . We had read raving reviews about the Samsung and the . The thing I found the most odd about the was that at every electronics store, it seemed to be set off to the side so you could not directly it to the or the Samsung TVs. This is a great TV at a lower cost. Samsung LN T4042H 40 in. HDTV LCD TV

Well i finally made the move to an HDTV and i have to say that i love the samsung 40″ LCD TV.It was displayed with a 40″ on one side and a 37″ on the other and they were all playing the same movie.After playing with the settings on all 3 TVs the samsung had the picture by far.I have had the TV now for 2 weeks and i am very happy with the purchase but i am a little disappointed with the so called HD programming offered by my satielite provider.Now i have read that not all HD programming is created equal and i can see what they mean.Some HD channels look amazing and others look no different that the SD programming and the HD seems to have alot of glitches.This is a great HDTV for the money,it has a great picture,sound and seems to be of good quality.Anyone thinking about getting a i would have to say wait a little longer,the HD programming just is not that good yet and the whole Blu-ray and HDDVD war has only just started and the players cost way to much right now.But if you have to have one right now then this samsung is a very good option.Also my advise is to shop around for the price but also make sure you can get extended warranty,i got 5 years total with mine and i highly recommend it with any high priced TV because even though i think this technology is pretty good it is still a big investment and there are places that offer it so why not have that extra protection,just in case you get a bad one.

Even Better Than Expected Pioneer Elite PRO 1140HD 50 in. HDTV Plasma TV

I searched and shopped and thought I was ready, then I saw the Elite PRO -1140HD. The salesman let me come in and tell him what I wanted in a 50 inch. I told him all the time I had spent reading reviews and looking at different ’s. Just when I was ready to buy he asked if he could show me the 50inch that all others are measured by. It was then I saw the Elite for the first time. I have never looked at another low end or medium value HD TV again. Look at the Panasonics, Mitusbishis, whatever. Then look at the Elite. I have now had it for 4 months and not a day goes by that I don’t smile everytime I look at. One strong suggestion resist the impulse to buy from a on-line vendor. I paid a little more at Ken Cranes but the service was incredible. I talked to them for weeks about the Elite before ever buying it, and although they won’t be able to match an on-line price they did negotiate a little to make the sale. Plus they can recommend a specialized installer which is very important. You don’t want to make a mistake with this quality TV. You won’t regret this decision.

Very pleased with this HD TV! Hewlett Packard LT4200 42 in. LCD TV

I bought this 42 inch model from Buy for just $1,000 two months ago. It was on sale, down from I a list I believe of $1,600. At the price I paid, it is way under competing models at this time. I really can’t see why it was so low in price.

This is our first HDTV. I am very pleased with it. We receive several HDTV channels over cable. That resolution would be 720. The picture on those channels is terrific! Yet the set is capable of 1080i and 1080P, which are even better. The color, resolution, contrast is excellent.

Hard to beat for the price Toshiba 42HL196 42 in. HDTV LCD TV

The price, features and specs drew me to this model over others I looked at. I really liked the styling of the XBR3, but not enough to shell out an extra $1500.

VIEWING CABLE TV:

Digital HD cable (particularly the “Discovery HD theater” channel) at 1080i is really impressive on this display. I mean WOW, very clear, bright detailed images. It looks like you can reach out and grab things on the screen!

720p digital cable broadcasts look very nice as well and the TV up-converts them to 1080p with zero artifacts or noise in the image.
