This is basically the same TV as the Olevia 542i without the built-in tuner. The BIG question to you, my friend - do you really need a tuner?

First of all before you buy this TV you have to make sure to paint your room in a nice relaxing color, buy some nice rich looking furniture and get rid of any TV stands. Make sure your room is big enough too. Get a nice 4 poster bed and a dresser with huge mirror. In other words you dont wanna put this beautiful TV set in a shabby old room. Deal? Ok now you ready.

We found our 42″ Olevia 542i before Christmas in a free shipping and 10% off coupon discount at Target online. Delivered cost was only $1030 or so, including tax.

This is my first flat panel TV. I was reluctant to spend the extra money on a flat panel. We had always had CRT TVs before. However, when I saw the T3253H next to the other flat panel TVs I was very impressed and started thinking seriously about buying my first one.

The frame is beautiful! It looks like a piano finish. The blue light at the bottom adds elegance to an already beautiful TV. The picture is very nice. There are enough inputs that I did away with my A/B switch behind the old TV. I have satellite, over-the-air antenna, VCR/DVD player and the XBox all connected.

What Is It?

The 42LC7D is the “entry level” 42″ LCD TV from LG. It is, however, far from a stripped down, or bargain basement piece of equipment.

Too Many Choices

If you walk into a big box store these days, you will often be confronted with an entire wall of flat panel TVs, and a confusing amount of information thrown at you. Although rear projection sets are still available, it appears that LCD and Plasma have emerged as the two main contenders. Both can produce stunning pictures, and each have strengths and weaknesses. My preference is LCD, as you will see.
