I have had this 32-inch TV for almost 6 months so I can now give an informed and educated opinion. Bottom line - it’s a great TV. I had a nightmarish experience buying a 32-inch Polaroid which was about $300 cheaper but broke after 2 months, and the frustration of dealing with their repair and customer service departments was off the charts. Eventually I got my money back and decided to focus more on the quality than the price. This TV has both - not terribly expensive, but so much more reliable. Picture quality is fabulous, especially the HD channels, which in some ways look better than on my 52-inch! I am not a guru in terms of technical terms (Pixels, 4:3 ratio, etc.), all I know is, the research I did on the brand stated Sharp was very reliable and the set has been great so far.
