I looked at all reviews, went to all the stores, and this was my decision. Has just about every input component that one needs. I’m not even using the HDMI connection but the component and the clarity is amazing. I have a DishNetwork VIP211 box hooked up to it and with over 20+ HD channels it’s truely amazing. One thing to prove my point is we watch this TV mostly a bed and it’s way across the room. Probably 20 feet away and mounted to the wall. Due to the crispness of the picture, there is no strain when it comes to viewing it. Without a doubt, this purchased was a no brainer. Pay about $1100. Worth every $$.
I purchased this TV as a gift for myself for the christmas holiday. I was very impressed with thse great picture. It lives up to the hype of the elaborate commercials they do for the samsung tv in partner with the NFL. I was a amazed at the ease of the use of the remote and controls. It was so easy to change the settings of the picture size. Like going from widescreen to full screen. I am real sure you will be real happy with this product. I have owned other LCD TV’s and there is no comparison when it comes to quality and price. I only want the best and that’s why I purchased a Samsung LCD TV.
I own this TV. Love the picture (when it was actually at my house and not broken or at the repair shop) I’ve had for about a year. It was not actually usable for that whole time. Has been in the shop 3 times.
Each time I had to chase down the local repair company and do all the running around and calling between them and Samsung.
Techs were great once they came
Samsung 800 number is less then helpful. I think they play the “delay and maybe they will go away” tactic.
Is the picture worth all this? Nope. I’m sure all the brands have some repair problems, but Samsung would not replace it. It’s obviously a lemon. And they won’t stand behind it.
Never will buy Samsung again. I don’t care how good the picture looks.
I looked for weeks for the right television to buy. I finally decided on this one. I decided on it because of several factors. One, out of all the televisions on the walls at Best Buy, this one had the best picture by far. That is including comparing plasmas, lcds, different sizes, and even this tv versus the 1080i native televisions. Second, the price was unbeatable. $1200 for a Samsung LCD is a steal. This television originally retailed for around $1500. Finally, I’ve had several other Samsung products (VCR, Television, etc), and all have had great reliability. I’ve also heard from sales professionals that Samsung is the best TV reliability speaking. I got the TV, and wow. The picture blows you away. You can really tell why its the official TV of the NFL.
