I purchased the PL4260N 42″ HP Plasma at the end of March 06. It worked fine for about a day. HP logo popped up when and if you got the TV to turn on. I call Tech support, they ask me to reset the TV,I do. I go and do the whole setup with the Tech on the phone, and it works fine for about 2 weeks.

Yet it starts again.I call back the tech said this problem needs to be run by the engineers, I then have to wait 5 days for an answer.I got my answer, We need to replace the Firmware.If it could only have been that easy.

HP Quality Control when they send there parts out is garbage. The parts looked as if they had taken them out of a dumpster.I informed the Tech to re-order the Kit which he quickly did , said they would be in the next day. That never happened ,another phone call to HP.

I demanded the Panel be replaced, the supervisor assured me that it would. I left it that.until the Tech called and said your Firmware will be in on Wednesday,I’ll install it then. What?I informed him that the Panel was getting replaced, so yet another phone call to HP . There was no record of the Supervisor saying he would replace my Panel

and it was assigned to a Case Manager.Ha!

I then place a phone call to HP Executive HQ in Houston, Texas.The nice lady told me that it had not been assigned to a Case Manager. She quickly assigned one for me and I would get

a phone call within 1 hour.45 minutes

later that phone call came.

I asked for HP to refund the cost of the Panel, they assured me that that wouldn’t be a problem. Faxed Proof of Purchase to them and got a

email from him saying they would refund it.Great they also assured me that this matter would be resolved completely, within 7 Days.

Today 21 June 06 is now two (2) weeks and nothing has been done other than my Plasma TV is STILL in pieces, in my spare bedroom in my home.No check.No anything.Just a TV that I spent

$2400 dollars on that doesn’t work.

Why didn’t you just take it back to where you bought it you ask. HP assured me that it would be up and running without problems in a timely manner,so
