Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Sony BRAVIA KDL-40V2500 40 in. HDTV LCD TV Yep, it’s a Sony I've tried a variety of LCD TV's: Sharp Aquos 37", Sony 32", Olevia 37" and now the Sony KDL-40V2500. This is my first 1080p TV. LOOKS ...

Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Sony Bravia KDL-26S3000 TV Bravo Sony BRAVIA! I have been debating purchasing an LCD TV for several years and finally took the plunge with the Sony KDL-26S300. I could not be happier. ...

I went to a number of different stores and actually looked at the TVs. The 1080p Bravia KDL40V2500 appeared to have the same great image as their 40″ XBR2 model, but at a significant savings ($400-$500 difference). Both of those LCD HDTVs had a noticeably better picture than the comparable 40″ or 42″ 1080p LCD HDTVs from (Aquos), Samsung, (Regza Cinema Series), and others. I did not look at larger or Plasmas of any size.

The has great sound, great picture, comes on a swivel base, and can be wall mounted. It has all kinds of inputs - HDMI, Component Video, S-Video, Composite Video, Co-ax, etc. So, it can connect up to the latest high-end stuff, or be “dumbed down” for older set-ups.

You MUST get a Hi-Def signal input, either by Digital Cable or by a Satellite Dish. Either way, remember to order the HD channels! All of the wide screen HDTVs look unimpressive when viewing Low-Def signals. It’s not the TV or the brand, it’s the poor quality signal you’re feeding it. Get a Hi-Def signal, and connect it to your TV via an HDMI cable. It’s the only way to go. You can even use many newer 6.1 or 7.1 Surround Sound receivers as your multiple input switching source (you connect everything to the receiver, then connect the receiver to the TV). I’m not there yet.

I paid about $2,140 for this TV, and we all love it. Hi-Def Sports and nature shows are incredible!
