Like I said above, I should be watching my Samsung LN-S4692D instead of writing this review.

I purchased the set through Amazon and received it on December the 21. Today is the 30th and the set decided to start turning itself off and on last night. It would operate for about ten minutes and then turn itself off only to come back on about 30 seconds later the turn off about a minute later. This continued until I unplugged it and let it reset. Didn’t help.

I called Samsung and after listening to bad elevator music for 30 minutes an “engineer” had me check the automatic timer which was not the problem. He said he was going to connect me to someone for service and sent me to voice mail that told me to call back during normal working hours.

I called back and listened to the same awful elevator music for 20-30 minutes and was cut off.

I called back and listened to the same elevator music for 30 minutes (these people must really be busy with problems?)and a different engineer came on and had me go through a reset. The set stayed on for about 15-20 minutes then shut off.

I listened to more disgusting elevator music for 30 minutes only to have another engineer tell me that someone will call me on Tuesday (3 days from now) and schedule an appointment in 3-5 days to come out and service the set. I guess I will get the old tube set out of the basement for a while.

By the way, my sister-in-law bought a new Samsung LNS-4092D for her husband’s Christmas present and she called today to tell us that they just took it back to the store they bought it from because a speaker went out.

No more Samsung for this family.
