First the good. This TV has a beautiful picture. Everyone that comes to my house comments on it. Some people thought they were viewing an HD channel when they were not.

I bought this TV on September 24th 2006. On May 23rd of this year, 2007, the TV stopped working; there was still sound but no picture. Keep in mind the TV is still under warranty at this point. I called the Samsung customer service line and was provided with a transaction number and referred to a local repair shop. Great! It looks like this will be resolved quickly. But alas, it is now June 21st, over 4 weeks later, and the TV has still not been repaired. I have made multiple phone calls to customer service and the repair shop to no avail. I was just informed today that the part, apparently an LCD panel, was on back order and they don’t even have an estimate of when the repair shop will receive it. I told Samsung customer service that I thought this was unacceptable service for such an expensive item, but they don’t really seem to care.

Anyway, this is a great TV; just pray that it never breaks on you.
