don’t know if my experience is unusual but I got the element HD tv because of price and picture quality I saw in store.. and because it had a digital hd tuner and so far I am not happy in some ways and other ways you get what you pay for. Is it better then regular tv? Yes but the picture freezes allot probably because of reception problems but not sure it could be something else like a unique problem with my set. I have not tried this with cable box. The hd stations work great if not for the freezing. I finally found an over the air antenna that cuts down on the freezing but does not eliminate them. My tv freezes around 20 percent of the time so you imagine the difficulty in viewing hd tv shows. Still the shows that are in hd are very good and so I put up with all this because I can’t afford cable.Other hd tv set I had did not have this problem . The non hd tv stations are horrible with reception adequate if antenna pulls it in but bad to horrible if it doesn’t. Again this is my opinion with just over the air antenna. Its on sale for $199 I think this black friday at CC . If your not going to use with good antenna its not such a great buy. Sound is below average, better get a stereo with tv sound,,,customer service about freezing is virtually non existent. The guy from company said to get a better antenna when I finally reached them by phone. All in all my review is bias because I could not try it with cable but it should help give people some information that might help them decide anyway.
