ILO 32 in LCD TV PROBLEMS ILO 3200 32 in. LCD TV

We purchased a ILO 32 in lcd tv on Oct. 8 2006. It had a great picture and good sound for a lower end lcd tv. we purchased the tv at WalMart. Thanks to this web site we found that we were not alone in having trouble with the tuner on this tv. On Jan 6 the tuner quit working. The remote and the controls on the unit would only turn the unit on off. We could not adjust sound or channels. When we went to the extended warranty web site our warranty could not be accessed. The assistant manager at WalMart was not very helpful at this time and said to call customer support. He did find a number. the only problem it was not the correct number. I went through VRU hell and probably over an hour total on various hold for next rep.One so called help desk rep said the wrong label was on the TV and he could not help. I went back to Wal Mart again and tried to speak to the store manager. A assistant manager come out and I explained the issues I had. Again he said to call customer service and I said I had been down that road already. I left and when I got home I did not have the persons name that I spoke with so I called back to get his name for use when I took further action against WalMart. The person I talked to this time was higher up the chain although I had asked to talk to the most senior staff member on duty at this time. I told my story again and referring to this web site, saying it appears WalMart should be aware of the problem with its product. He did agree to allow a credit to up grade to another brand of LCD tv. It was a lot of hassel but thanks to others and this site I got my issue taken care of.

I had no idea what I was missing Panasonic TH 50PX60U 50 in. HDTV Plasma TV

I’ve had a 61″ rear-projection CRT for the last 5 years, and I love it. It’s huge, but the picture quality is fantastic and it’s been 100% trouble-free. It’s the workhorse; 90% of the TV-watching done in our house is done on it, and it’s also the monitor for our home theater.

But recently I remodeled the kitchen and have made the first floor of the house more entertainment-friendly. Seemed like a good idea to have a TV upstairs as well. I considered putting a 60″ DLP or in the rec room and pulling the upstairs, but it eats up too much space. was the obvious choice.

Very good LCD with a balance of price and function. AOC L20W421 20 in. LCD TV

This LCD is exactly what I expected at a price of around $250. The unit has a perfect picture when using the component cables with a progressive scan DVD player. Analog video is terrible though, but it is not why I purchased it. I use this monitor hooked up with an HP Media Center PC. The video display is 7/10 from the analog VGA cable. The main problem is that my computer will not adjust to the odd native resolution of this display, so smaller text is not as crisp as if I was using a dedicated PC LCD. When in media mode this display is as Windows MCE uses large fonts, and the playback looks almost as as the DVD player. The internal tuner for NON-HDTV channels works like all of my other TVs so I would not say it is weak. It pulls in the signals fine. The unit seems well made, and the documentation was thorough enough. The sound is acceptable and clear. The volume range is loud enough for my bedroom. The settings on this TV allow you to adjust many things. Most importantly is a function that blurs the image a little which helps with non digital broadcasts and keeps the pixelation at a minimum. I would recommend this monitor to anyone.
