Bought this set from BJ’s Wholesale club in May of 2006. I paid $550 after $50 instant rebate. These sets are available for under $400 now at places like Newegg. I’ve used the set exclusively in my master bedroom mounted to a swing/tilt arm on the wall. Setup is simple, Display quality without a cable box is decent, but nothing to brag about. When used with a PC (VGA cable, no DVI on my tv) or DVD player(Component cables, mine doesn’ have HDMI) the quality is nice. I’ve seen better, but for the price, it’s great.

I got this set some months ago at my local Costco retailer for 850$ CAD (about 750$ US). The first thing I tried on this TV was gaming (Xbox 360 connected via component) : the image quality was excellent! It was clear, very bright, and accurate. There was some minor ghosting / blurring, but you have to pay attention to notice it. Also, but this might be fixed by using a digital connexion, there was some annoying noise in static dark blue areas. The sound quality, however, was a little bit disappointing, considering the fact that this is a 27” TV… I simply hooked up a small home audio system to get decent sound.
